THE HABIT OF DHUHA PRAYER IN CONGREGATION AS A METHOD OF IMPROVING STUDENT DISCIPLINE

This research is motivated by the low level of student discipline, whereas discipline is an important aspect of life, especially for students who are still in school. One effort that can be made to improve discipline is through the habit of performing Dhuha prayers in congregation. This is as implemented in SMK Al Biruni Ciwaringin Cirebon, where students are accustomed to performing Dhuha prayers in congregation. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the habit of performing Dhuha prayers in congregation and analyze its impact as a method in fostering discipline among students. This study uses a descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through the process of data reduction, presentation, and verification, and the validity of the data is obtained through extended observation, persistence in observation, triangulation, and peer review. The results of this study show that the worship coaching program can improve discipline in the school environment. For Islamic Religious Education teachers, these results can be used as input in improving the quality of learning, especially in aspects of worship and character building.
