THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEACHERS IN FORMING THE RELIGIOUS CHARACTER OF STUDENTS AT SDN 1 DAUH PEKEN TABANAN BALI

This study aims to determine: (1) the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the religious character of students at SDN 1 Dauh Peken, (2) the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning in shaping religious character, (3) the evaluation of Islamic Religious Education learning in shaping religious character, and (4) the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping religious character at SDN 1 Dauh Peken. The approach used was a qualitative case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's theory, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Data validity was tested using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers is very important in shaping religious character, especially for minority students who need reinforcement from elementary school; (2) learning is implemented through intracurricular and extracurricular activities; (3) learning evaluation uses authentic assessment, criterion-referenced assessment, and final learning outcomes; and (4) supporting factors include the classroom, learning media, and infrastructure, while inhibiting factors include student background, the environment outside the school, and peer influence. The conclusion is that the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping students' religious character is a process of guiding, transforming, and developing students' potential so that they consistently think, feel, and behave well.
