Abstract

The learning environment at school is of course not only in the classroom, but in the library. Therefore, the library must have a learning environment management strategy that supports the self-development of students. The purpose of this study is to see how the strategy for managing the learning environment in the Al-Hamidiyah SDIT library is. The method used is qualitative with observation and interview data collection techniques. The management of the learning environment in the library can be seen from the management of learning places, the guidance of students (librarians), and the arrangement of learning activities in the library. The results of this study are (1) management of learning places: the one in the SDIT Al-Hamidiyah library is very good in terms of seating arrangement, beauty and lighting. So that students can comfortably participate in learning in the library and easily find the collection they want. (2) user guidance, carried out by introducing the library to each new student and providing training to students on how to use and find information in the library during literacy classes. (3) structuring learning activities, before carrying out literacy classes, librarians make plans in coordination with the curriculum. Schools that provide opportunities for library development, make the library optimally utilized as part of the student learning process.
